The Stables Experience

The Stables Entwined Event Venue is beautifully located among the majestic countryside in California, Kentucky just 20 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Stables Entwined offers an outdoor wedding setting that can be anything from country chic to totally unique. The Stables Entwined event barn was built new in 2016 and is complete with outdoor experiences including an outdoor dancing patio, grain bin bar, playground, bridal suite, grooms’ cabin, and pavilion.

All of this alongside a lake nestled between the countryside and trees make for a picturesque setting for an event. The handicap-accessible barn venue can hold up to 190 guests. The Stables Entwined Venue staff will work with every client to make sure their event goes off without a hitch. Mary Lippert, the venue owner, will be with you every step of the way.

FAQ

Do you have restrooms?

Yes, our venue provides indoor plumbing restrooms. 2 restrooms with 4 stalls for your guests, 1 private restroom for the bridal suite, 1 private restroom for the groom’s cabin and 1 guest handicap restroom including baby changing station.

How can I schedule a tour of The Stables?

We would love to schedule a tour to show you the venue. Feel free to call or text us at 859-630-1053 or email us at tour@stablesentwined.com to schedule a day and time.

Do you provide a wedding coordinator?

An event manager will be onsite during your contracted hours. We do provide up to four one hour planning meetings. Typically one planning meeting 16 weeks before your event date, 6 weeks before your event date, a 2 week final meeting before your event date and one hour rehearsal during the week of a wedding event. Finally, you will receive 8 hours of services on the day of your wedding. Therefore, they will run your timeline, adjust the lighting, and aid in any issues that may arise to help make your event special.

What is the barn capacity and do you provide tables and chairs?

Our maximum seating capacity is 192.

  • 16-5′ round tables-Used for guests (seating 8-10)
  • 2-8′ banquet tables-Used for buffet, bridal table, guests, DJ, gifts, bar, appetizers, etc
  • 6-6′ banquet tables-Used for buffet, bridal table, guests, DJ, gifts, bar, appetizers, etc

The Stables will have the tables, linen, and chairs set when you arrive for your event. As a result, you will have plenty of time to place your décor.

Am I allowed to cater my own event or must I use your preferred caterers?

Yes, we can recommend caterers who do an excellent job with service, presentation, and quality of food. Lother’s Catering, Four Mile Pig, Cincinnati Catering, Vonderhaar’s Catering, to name a few. But, you may also select caterers and vendors of your choice that best fit your needs. Bringing in an unlicensed caterer or your own food must be approved by the venue owner.

Does the Reception Barn have A/C or heat?

No, we are considered an open air venue. Our bridal suite and handicap bathroom is HVAC controlled.

Is alcohol allowed and can we have a cash bar?

You are welcome to have alcohol at your event, you are welcome to bring in your own. We can help with design and quantity needed. However, if you choose to serve alcohol you must use our certified bartender and provide an additional 1 million dollar event day alcohol coverage. This is not included in your venue fee. Some homeowners insurance companies will provide a one-day service for you. We can help you find this coverage.

Can we leave vehicles overnight?

Yes, you can leave vehicles overnight, however, Stables is not responsible for the security of the vehciles. In addition, we ask for vehicles to be retrieved by 11:00am the next morning.

Can we leave things for our vendors to be picked up later?

You may leave certain items to be picked up by your vendors. But, ONLY if pre arranged by the venue manager. We can go over these details and schedule pick up times during your planning meeting. This meeting will take place prior to your event.

Is smoking allowed?

The Stables is a smoke-free venue. However, designated smoking areas are provided outdoors.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains and you have planned on an outdoor ceremony or activities, you will make use of the indoor Reception Barn that you have rented. You may also move activities to the patio area of the barn or plan ahead to rent a tent. Rain or shine we will do our very best to help make your special event wonderful! During our planning meetings, we will have a rain plan for your event day.

If we want to rent a tent of inflatables, is this allowed?

Yes, providing you schedule this with the venue manager. If you rent a tent, you will be required to rent all tables and chairs to be placed under it, as ours are not to be used on the lawn. Inflatables and other party equipment are permitted providing they will do no damage to the lawn.
